We recently spent the New Year at this cozy and charming accommodation. We loved the outdoor bathroom and the comfortable bed. The location was perfect, just a few minutes from the beach and close to many eateries. The staff was attentive and made sure we had a memorable stay.
The occasional power outages, but this didn't affect our experience much. we highly recommend this rustic accommodation for anyone who wants to have a comfortable and affordable stay in a great location.

I cannot say enough positive things about Alam Nusa. The family that own and run it are wonderful, it's like being welcomed into their home and lives. On arrival you receive a welcome pineapple smoothie and complimentary 15 min massage in the spa, and what a welcome. The staff are what make these bungalows special, you soon learn everyone's name and as there are only 4 bungalows, you get to know the other guests quickly too. The bungalows are fantastic, big comfortable beds, own private balcony, they are cleaned twice a day, and a turn down service, all done very discretely. The outdoor shower is brilliant, it feels like you're in the jungle, if you look up into the canopy while in the shower. The food is fantastic and on the our last night, they made such a fuss of us as we were leaving the next day and made us a special Indonesian platter which looked and tasted amazing. We had various treatments in the spa, traditional massage to reflexology all of which were cheap and excellent. It's difficult to explain how special it is here, it's rare you get some fantastic treatment at any accommodation but we were sad leaving, everyone came to wave us goodbye. The bungalows are only 100 metres, if that from mushroom bay, a beautiful beach for sunbathing and snorkelling and the best for watching the sunset. Please stay here if you visit Nusa Lembongan, at £40 a night per room in peak season it's fantastic value. Thank you to all the beautiful family at Alam Nusa, we will be back I'm sure.

The bed was very comfortable and the room Very clean. Each room face a small garden that is very nice. The food is good but not exceptionnal. Services were ok.
The room was small and there is no pool which is a big downside when you realize that for 20$ more you could have rented a similar room with a pool fading the Ocean in a hotel very close to this one. The personnal makes you exageratly at ease upon arrival making you feel quite quickly that they have tours too sale. Overall it was a pleasant stay but it is wortwhile paying a bit more too get a better location. Finally, it think the Gillis offer much better beaches and snorkling. If you havé to choose, do not hesitate to go to the Gillis and don't worry, even on Gili Trawangan, you can fond secluded areas and peace.

Lovely huts just 100m from Mushroom beach. Fantastic staff who were very friendly and made our stay very special. The daily breakfast was not only very tasty but there was plenty of it! Onsite spa set in the tranquil garden was a bonus and we highly recommend the massage.
The positives far outweighed the negatives and the things that we did not like were very minor. Hot water was patchy and shower pressure could have been better. Not a huge amount of space inside the hut.

Best and friendliest staff we had on our two week stay in Bali. Food was amazing, massages... You name it. They would cater to your every need with a genuine Balinese smile on their face. Very personal service and so professional. Only thing I would recommend is making sure you can pay in cash which was not my case and ended up being a pain in the butt, other than that the place was perfect... PROS: friendly, personal, clean, location, atmosphere CONS: no pool, might need to pay in cash only Overall highly recommended and I will make it a personal goal to drop in for lunch and some bintangs anytime I make it Bali

Huts are pretty close to the beach (approx 150m), just a short walk away. Huts are small (very small) but clean. Beach is superb, best I've seen in Bali (compared to Kuta, Nusa Dua and few others - Mushroom Beach wins every time). You can rent a moped to see the rest of the island (4 hours should be enough), but pretty much everything you need is around Mushroom Beach.
Huts are close to the beach... But not on the beach. There were other hotels on the beach -- on the other side, they were probably more expensive. Nothing to do after 10pm - but that's probably "on the whole island", not just Mushroom Beach.

The massages were not really good...

The rooms were very clean and there was even a daily turn-down service. Everything was maintained beautifully. We tried the massage there which was very good, however it was not that cheap compared to Bali. The restaurant was one of the best we ate in in lembongan and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We really liked the outdoor shower and the bed was big and comfortable. Best of all there were hardly any mosquitoes there even though the huts were in a garden area.
The rooms were rather small with little space to walk around the room. We kept bumping into the bed. Also the huts were situated very close to each other so you can hear your neighbours evey move.

Lovely quiet place, beautiful gardens and very well maintained.
The room was a bit small with not much room around the bed or shelf space to put things.

The staff were really helpful and always happy to answer any questions we had. I liked that it was a small place with only about 7 huts and therefore more personal. The outdoor bathroom is really cool with views of the blue sky and coconut trees when you have your shower :) It was only about a 2 minute walk to the beach and away from the noise of the beachfront bars and accommodation. The breakfast was nice and the little touches like flowers in the foot-bath out the front were lovely.
The huts themselves are really poorly sealed/soundproofed. Being in a semi-rural area (and being a light sleeper) I was frequently woken up by the noises of roosters, cows and geckos during the night. You can also hear everything going on in the huts next door despite the windows being closed, which means there is very little privacy! The huts are very cute but quite cramped inside with the bed taking up most of the space. There were quite a few heads bumped and toes stubbed! The double bed is also just two singles pushed together which is quite uncomfortable. Please note that you cannot pay by credit card here, which we were only told when we went to check out (about 5 minutes before our boat pickup), meaning a rushed escort down to the beach to pay by credit card at another hotel (incurring a 5% surcharge and lots of jokes to the staff member's mates about how we'd changed money, which left us feeling ripped off). I guess we shouldn't have assumed that we could pay by card but I also think this is something they need to warn guests about when they check in.
